National Attention Builds on Completion of Tenderloin Butterfly Mural
Hyde Street’s stunning butterfly mural is quickly becoming a San Francisco landmark and a national force behind the preservation of pollinator habitats. Flurries of #migratingmural posts are spreading the word. The now-complete 50-foot-tall butterflies are also accomplishing the mission of educating people about urban pollinators and providing a sweeping visual statement amid the urban landscape.
In a city like San Francisco that is constantly evolving, there is a sense of comfort in finding an apartment home like 1560 Sacramento with a built-in community of connected residents whose manager, Paul Arruabarrena, has been an institution for over 60 years. Born on the 3rd floor of this lovingly-restored 1933 building called The Claire, Paul became resident manager in 1976, and is now, with the aid of his trusted cat Joey, the beloved patriarch of the 43-unit community in Nob Hill.
Composting is Cool!
Sheena, the Resident Manager at 3605 20th Street, is working to keep things green in her neighborhood. In an effort to contribute to the city’s waste reduction initiative, she provides compost kitchen pails to each of her residents as a no-cost effort to encourage the residents of her building to go green. Thanks to these compost bins, provided for free by Recology, 3605 20th Street has seen a decrease in landfill trash and the building is making a positive impact in the community.

GreenTree oversees many buildings around the Bay Area, so it takes strong, hardworking leaders to keep our team going. Reyland Quinones has been a Lead Maintenance Technician at GreenTree for a year now and he represents all the best qualities we strive to put first. Reyland handles every situation with excellent customer service and a smile on his face. He takes initiative to be proactive about problems and provides detail oriented, accurate work. Reyland is quick to help other technicians on his team exemplifying excellent leadership qualities and eagerness to assist. Amazon Key for Business
Amazon Key for Business is a multi-factor authentication system providing Amazon drivers with authorized building entry for secure package and grocery delivery.
If residents are unavailable to accept a package for delivery, the Amazon Key for Business system authenticates the driver, confirms the driver is carrying a package for that address, and validates the driver has arrived within an authorized delivery window. Drivers then deliver packages to specially designated, secure areas within each building, reducing incidents of theft. Once deliveries are complete, drivers are unable to re-enter the building unless they have additional packages to distribute.
No doorman? No problem. Carson Living is a secure, user-friendly, 24/7 virtual doorman and resident services platform. This one-app solution streamlines communications and security for residents, who can remotely approve and grant building access via live video, facilitate package deliveries for decreased theft and delivery errors, submit online rent payments and maintenance requests, and communicate directly with their resident manager from a single convenient app.
Bumblebee Spaces leverages artificial intelligence (AI) technology to increase usable space for a resident. Its flexible modules – including beds, closets, and other storage – are installed into the ceiling, where they can be safely raised and lowered via app or voice command. Bumblebee AI learns resident preferences, classifies and catalogs items to be retrieved on-demand, and adapts to context, all in service of convenience and maximum space efficiency.
